If you are using an iPad for editing Custom Slide content, you can take advantage of the Slide Over feature to open a browser (like Safari) in a small vertical window that hovers above Projector, allowing you to search for content (like Bible verses) and more easily copy/paste them into the Custom Slide editor.
The following Apple articles describe how Slide Over works on iPad OS 13, but it is similar for iOS 12.

Example: Custom Slide editing using Slide Over
We start with an empty Item, "Scriptures" in the above example Plan
We will follow the procedure in the Using Custom Slides article - open up the Custom Slide editor
And tap '+' to create a new Custom Slide, taking us to the Custom Slide Editor
Slide up from the bottom of the screen to expose the dock bar. You should also have the app that you want to start up in Slide Over mode in the dock. We'll use the Safari app in this example. Tap and hold the Safari app icon and drag it to the right side of the screen.
Once Safari is open, you can browse to a site to capture content. In this example we navigate to biblegateway.com and search for a Scripture passage that we wish to use in our Custom Slide (Psalm 100).
| Important! Please respect the Copyrights of Bible translations that are not in the Public Domain (note our use of the King James Version in this example, which is in the Public Domain). Since Projector is not supplying Bible versions as a paid feature (as some other presentation programs provide), it's up to you to obtain permission to use copyrighted Bible translations, if necessary. Often a Copyrighted Bible translation will have a 'free use' policy for churches to display a particular version in a church service, which may also require citing the source of the translation with a copyright notice at the end of the passage being presented on the screen. |
- Select the text that you want to copy and drag the selection to include everything that you want
- Press the "Copy" button.
- Once the text is copied you can drag Safari off-screen to allow Projector to completely occupy the screen once more. Safari will still be running, just hidden.
- Touch the slide text window
- Press the "Paste" button to paste in the text that was copied from Safari
You can also 'tweak' the text as needed, then Save the edited slide and Save once again at the Custom Slide list window to keep all your changes.
Apply a desired Layout for your Custom Slide and enjoy the results!
