One of the benefits of Projector is that it's an iOS app that can be shown when sharing your screen in a virtual meeting, like with Zoom or Google Meet. So, whether you are facilitating a small group gathering or a larger congregational meeting using a virtual meeting, Projector output can be part of the presentation.
Zoom Example: starting Projector screen share
This article will demonstrate a step-by-step workflow of sharing Projector output using the Zoom meeting app.

Once you have started your Zoom meeting, tap on the screen to show the top menu bar and tap on the Share Content menu item.
Tap on the Screen choice from the drop-down menu that shows all the content that you can share.
- Tap the Zoom choice from the Screen Broadcast menu. Note: you may see Zoom as the only choice, depending on what apps you have running on your device. It's recommended that you only have Zoom and Projector running for purposes of this example.
- Tap the Start Broadcast to begin sharing your screen with the Zoom app.
The Screen Broadcast will show that screen sharing is now happening. You can tap on the screen to return to the Zoom app.
Bring up the app switcher (double-tap home button / swipe up from bottom of screen) and tap on the Projector app to switch to it.
If you have not already done so, place Projector into the fullscreen control view (use 'pinch out' gesture on the preview). The same view will show on all participants in the Zoom meeting.
Zoom example: usage tips
- Projector's presentation view will not be available for the Screen Share display, since you are sharing the exact image of your iOS device screen
- It's recommended that you use simple layouts with solid colors or static background images. Video backgrounds for slides are not recommended for Screen Share.
- You can use the swipe left/right gestures on the fullscreen control screen or bluetooth devices, just like normal when you are operating Projector.
- Recommended: use the Zoom Participants -> Mute All feature to make sure that only you are sending audio for the meeting. This will prevent echo / feedback during the meeting - which will be especially bad if, for instance, everybody is singing along to a worship song. The Internet has lag, which will cause audio of everybody to be out-of-sync with the music.
- You can un-mute others on an as-needed basis during your meeting, like for a Q/A or prayer / sharing time.
Zoom example: finishing up
Use the app switcher to go back to the Zoom app when you are done with Projector.
Tap the Stop Share menu item in Zoom when you are ready to finish sharing your device's screen.
Tap OK to return to the Zoom app.
