The default behavior of Projector when clicking (Mac) or tapping (iPad/iPhone) a slide is to queue up the slide as the Next Up slide to display.
The following example illustrates the difference between the Now Playing slide and the Next Up slide (iPad/macOS shown):
- The Verse 1 slide is the Now Playing slide. You can tell which slide is currently playing by the green border around the slide, as well as it appearing in the preview window.
- The Verse 2 slide is the Next Up slide, which will be played next by either
- clicking or tapping on the slide
- advancing the slide sequence with keyboard shortcuts, or a bluetooth device
- clicking on the ">" symbol in the preview window, or
- swiping the preview window to the left.
Beginning with Projector version 2023.0.0, you have the option of changing the behavior of clicking or tapping a slide that is neither the Now Playing or Next Up slide. Instead of clicking/tapping a slide to queue it as the Next Up slide, you can tell Projector that you want to immediately play any slide that is clicked/tapped, by enabling the following Setting:
- Enable this setting to make clicking or tapping a slide immediately cause it to become the Now Playing slide. Disable this setting (default) to have a clicked/tapped slide become the Next Up slide.
